Workshop

'Landscape photography on the Zeeland coast'

Do you want to take your landscape photography to the next level? Or do you feel like there is 'something' missing from your photos? Then register now for my workshop 'Landscape photography on the Zeeland coast'. During this workshop you will work on your skills in a relaxed atmosphere and update your knowledge and skills!

Who is this workshop suitable for?

This workshop is for enthusiastic beginners to slightly advanced photographers. With basic knowledge of the 'exposure triangle' (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) you will get more out of this workshop. During this workshop many topics from landscape photography will be discussed, but there will of course be plenty of time to practice and ask questions.

Why the Zeeland Coast?

The Zeeland coast is ideal for landscape photography: wide beaches with ever-changing structures, impressive dunes, a vibrant sea, the recognizable breakwaters and of course an unobstructed view of beautiful skies. All the elements are there to take beautiful photos!

Composition

The mainstay of a good landscape photo is a catchy composition. What makes one photo more exciting than another? I teach you to look at important elements and their relationships.

Camera settings

Correct settings ensure the right result. Which institutions have which consequences in (coastal) landscapes? And how can you make optimal use of the camera?

Responding to weather conditions

Often it is the light and weather conditions that provide the biggest "wow factor". What do you take into account to be as prepared as possible? Does luck also play a role?

Exposure

Lighting can make or break a photo. What should you pay attention to to make a well-balanced recording? And what can you do in challenging situations with a lot of contrast, such as a sunset?

Equipment

With suitable equipment it is possible to get more out of your photos. What equipment is indispensable for a landscape photographer and how do you use it?

Techniques in landscape photography

Cameras regularly fall short in dynamic range or focus. You can circumvent these technical limitations of your camera with various recording techniques. I'll explain how.

What do you need?

- Camera that you can set manually (M,A,S,P modes).

Practical issues

4 to 6 people

We work with a small group, of a minimum of 4, but a maximum of 6 people. This way there is time and attention for everyone.

Location Dishoek

We visit one of the most versatile coastal towns for photography. Lighthouses, dikes, breakwaters, dunes and beaches: Dishoek has it all.

Digitale hand-out

Before the start of the workshop, you will receive a digital handout by email containing introductory theory and all practical matters.

5 hours of photography

We start with a short introduction and going through some theory, after which we immediately get started with practice on the coast. The time depends on the season.

Cost

The investment you make for the next step in your photography is €95.
